We had to plan our train journeys. Ubud is a very relaxed place to do a lot of things. There are art markets, dance shows, temples, quaint villages, villagers, and a few good restaurants. A good place to retire to for a few days to gather your thoughts and make peace with nature. However, a driver is required for longer stays. This is especially important if you want excitement. The travel time from Ubud and Kuta/Seminyak takes between 1.5-2 hours. So, a good option if you just want to chill. You might not like it if you want to combine adventure and relaxation, or at the very least a combination of both.

I had intended to stop at Tulamben, to take a look around the wreckage of a WW2 US Cargo Ship that was only 30m offshore. It was also about 30m underwater. There were numerous offers to rent our diving and snorkeling gear. We decided to pass on the opportunity and head to our accommodation for tonight. There are many "warung", or roadside eateries that you can eat if you are a budget traveler. You can pick your favorite food from the display case at their front. This kind of eatery really offers a low price, and will show you the real flavor of Indonesian foods.

For example, in Bali, I've been to Uluwatu a few times and have never stopped. There is so much to see and do that I haven?t yet.People will stay for weeks in Amed and have a great experience with the beaches and amazing muck diving.
