It's not enough to simply know about the strategy. To be successful long-term, I need a set of rules that I can follow. They will tell me when to get in a trade, how to exit it, and what amount of risk to take. These rules together are a key part of an option trading plan. I have one for this strategy. I'll briefly explain it.

Rising Windows ? This is a gap of two days that indicates a bullish trend for the near-term. It is simply a gap in trading between two days. The gap becomes a critical support area. It is only valid if lower shadow doesn't meet or overlap upper shadow from the previous day.

If DMI+ crosses over DMI- and the ADX rises through the space between DMI line, then this is a bullish signal. It could be that ADX is already higher than DMI+ and moves up, indicating strength. I tend to wait to see if ADX moves through the gap (also referred as the zone) in an upward movement. If the DMI+ crosses below DMI+ and if the ADX moves into the gap in an up movement, it is a bullish indicator and I would place the bear trade. The ADX moving higher from a low point and crossing into an upward movement indicates growing strength. This is a reliable indicator that the trend will develop.
