You are better off looking for signs saying Sempidi, or Mengwi, or best of all Singaraja and following the arrows. These are towns and cities. Singaraja is located on the north coast, so it is the best to follow.

I went for a stroll to the beach. It was nothing to write about. Just a typical northern Balinese black volcanic sand beach. The few hawkers kept their distance once again. I was able observe fishing boats at sea as the sun set behind them and a young man making his prayer offering, while he sat cross-legged.
