We headed towards Amed from the town of Culik. I had selected another three hotels or losmen from the Lonely Planet book for here too. Same result too. My first choice was a collection called Meditasi. They offered meditation and yoga and general relaxation. Our daughter-in-law wouldn't have relaxed though. Their room featured a balcony bed for the children with a rail that was no higher than it and a 30m drop through bougainvilleas to reach the rocks on the beach below. Mind you if Eileen and I ever go back that way on our own I would happily spend a night or two there.

Bermuda- This destination, which is close to the United States, is truly exceptional. This is actually an amalgamation of 180 smaller island. Bridges get you from island to island. If you're tired of one bridge, you can jump on to the next. Because Bermuda is so distinctive, Bermuda is number one. The only place you will find the famous pink beaches.

Bali is known for its ability to bargain. If you ask for the price, the price will surprise you. Don't be afraid to bargain with the Balinese. I won't go into detail about the "art of bargaining", but these are important things: smile, find your maximum price, shop more than one, walk away (because they might offer you a lower price), and, last but not least, enjoy it!
