Hey Amie

I didn’t think that I would write this message ever, but I’ve been getting on IMVU a few times recently and your name kept popping up, and I thought that it might be time for me to properly apologize to you as well.
It’s been a long time, so I’m not sure if it’s still something you think about, but I’ve grown a lot since then and my conscious is starting to bite me a little.
I don’t expect a friendship to come out of this, because I am fully aware of the damage I did back then. But I do hope that you can read this open mindedly and keep in mind that I am 3-4 years older now and not in any way the same person that I was back then.
Back when we talked I was a confused, insecure teenage girl who finally felt like she had found her place somewhere. Obviously I could never have found my place using someone else’s pictures and a fake name. But for the time being, that felt like my place. I never did any of the things that I did to hurt anyone.
When you guys found out that I was not who I claimed to be, I was too upset to show it and it ended up in a lame, stupid video where it looked like I barely cared. It was a big step for me to even admit to you guys that I had been lying, let alone let you guys see that I, too, was hurting.
I’m aware that it might’ve looked like I cared about you the least, but it’s not true. You were one of my closest friends and the person I used to go to for comfort. I was just younger and too stupid to admit that.
I am really sorry for anything I might have done to hurt you, it was never my intention.
You are a wonderful lady with an amazing family who all took care of me back when I felt worst. The pain “Hallie” had was real, and the things you said did help me.
So I’m thanking you for everything and I’m apologizing for everything as well. If you have any questions or any remarks regarding this, I’ll be ready to talk now. I’m sorry I haven’t been before.
