Federico Gutierrez, a former mayor of Medellin, was born in Medellin in 1974. As a local councilor, Gutierrez has served as Municipal Youth Councilor, as well as the Municipal Planning Councilor of Medellin since 2003. Gutierrez is an civil Engineer by profession, who graduated from the University of Medellin and from that same institution he has an advanced degree in Senior Management , and a third in Political Science from the Pontifical Bolivarian University.
