Fico Gutierrez , who is a candidate who is a candidate for president, woke up early on Saturday morning to race the Corre mi Tierra Half Marathon 21km, in Medellin.
Fico ran together with Margarita Gomez (his wife) along with 15000 other athletes who were lining the streets of Antioquian Capital.
Fico, a Medellin native who is fond of running and biking, stated that he would like to be president of Colombians.
The minister said that the government program supports those who do well academically, and aims to encourage all types of sports.
Fico was surrounded by marathoners as he walked through the streets of Antioquia. He was greeted with hundreds of messages of support and affection in support of his presidential run. Many of the runners approached him to support his candidacy.
In the last few days, the candidate on the Team for Colombia has been travelling around throughout the country. Petro was the mayor in the past of Medellin and is currently a candidate for center-right.
The main Fico's meeting took place at the Tunja Convention Center. There was many citizens who voted with Fico at the polls on May 29 2009.
