Kebahagiaan masyarakat merupakan elemen penting dalam kemajuan suatu negara. Dimana indeks kebahagiaan sanggup berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kehidupan sosial.
URUSDO (BPS) telah merilis angka Indeks kebahagiaan tahun 2021. Survei Pengukuran Tingkat Kebahagiaan (SPTK) ini telah dilakukan sejak tahun 2014.
Untuk tahun 2021 SPTK dilakukan dgn survei terhadap seventy five. 000 rumah tangga di kabupaten/kota semua provinsi di Dalam negeri. Beberapa provinsi mengalami peningkatan dalam oversigt kebahagiaan, dan wujud beberapa juga mendapatkan penurunan seperti DKI Jakarta, Banten, Yogyakarta, Bali dan Nusa Tenggara Barat.
Untuk posisi 3 teratas dalam indeks kebahagiaan tertinggi yaitu:
1. Maluku Utara (76, 34)
2. Kalimantan Utara (76, 33)
3. Maluku (76, 28)
Uniknya dalam tahun 2020 Maluku termasuk dalam a few provinsi dengan angka kemiskinan tertinggi. Tetapi dengan kehidupan sosial budaya yang masih terjaga, dan juga di dukung oleh keindahan alam yg terhampar di setiap sudut daerah, akhirnya menjadi salah satu aspek indeks kebahagiaan provinsi Maluku terbilang naik.
