November 19,1931 first suicide of man named W.K Norton, 46. found dead in his room after he had ingested poisonous capsules.
September of 1932, a maid found Benjamin Dodich, 25, was shot in the head, no suicide note left.
July 1934, Louis D. Borden,53, found dead in his room at Cecil hotel. He served his thought with a razor. Borden left a suicide note, which claimed that his poor health was the result in his suicide.
March 1937, Grace E. Margo fell from ninth-story window. telephone wires cushioned her fall, yet she died at nearby hospital. unclear death weather it was a suicide or murder.
May 1939, Navy officer Erwin C. Neblett, 39, was found dead in room after consuming poison.

September 1944, Dorothy Jean Purcell, 19, and her boyfriend, Ben Levine, 38, were at the Cecil. Purcell, who claimed she was unaware of pregnancy, gave birth in the bathroom to a baby boy. She ended up throwing her baby out the window. the baby was found on the roof of an adjacent building. she pleaded insanity and wasn't charged for murder.
November 1947, Robert Smith, 35, died jumping out of one of the seventh-floor windows.
