SariAgri - Pengurus Koperasi Petani Sawit Milenial Setara, Djono Albar Burhan mengatakan bahwa Peremajaan Sawit Rakyat (PSR) merupakan kunci penting dalam program biodisel. Menurutnya, PSR dapat meningkatkan produktivitas petani.
"Perkebunan setelah PSR produktivitasnya dapat meningkat. Kenapa? karena dengan adanya penggunaan bibit yang berkualitas, bersertifikat dan teknik pengelolaan Good Agriculture Practices yang lebih baik dan segala macamnya. Itu sangat bermanfaat bagi perekonomian," ujar Djono dalam webinar yang diadakan SariAgri bersama BPDPKS, Selasa (25/5).
Djono menilai jika tidak ada PSR, maka produksi TBS relatif menurun karena umur-umur tanaman sawit sudah semakin menua dan produktivitas sudah semakin menurun. Sehingga stok Crude Palm Oil (CPO) sangat-sangat rendah dan harga CPO akan naik.
