The Dying Of IPhone Gaming Controllers And The best way to Keep away from It
You will be having to choose between the low, medium, and high tier of controllers for your iPhone. The list I give you is not a final list but it's an easy and concise explanation of what you can expect and where you can get it, how it works.

Budget Friendly - Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller
This controller was one of the first ones that I purchased and I enjoyed it! I was not a fan to use the Xbox controller or Playstation because of the fact that I am a frequent player on consoles, and having to sync each time I switched was going be a huge irritation.

Best iPhone gaming controllers
The Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller allowed me to keep my console gaming separate to my smartphone gaming. The wire technology let it be completely independent and instant in connecting directly to an iPhone. My only complaint to do with this was bigger iPhones like the iPhone Pro Max versions weren't very comfortable to use for long sessions.

The buttons are adequate, but it won't rival a dedicated Xbox or DualShock controller in the button department. If you don't mind syncing and switching between your console and mobile device or don't own a console than I suggest skipping this controller and getting a console controller that is dedicated to consoles equipped with an adapter clamp that lets you attach your iPhone to the controller you prefer.

Mid-tier: SteelSeries Nimbus+
This controller allows you to switch between devices like the Mac, Apple TV, and iPhone or iPad effortlessly since it's wireless. It's more expensive than the Riot Gamepad from Rotor It has an improved build and is wireless. I think it's a worthy entry in the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list due to its versatility as well as its design and cost. However, I'm of the opinion that I prefer the non-symmetrical joystick design.

High-Tier: Razer Kishi & Backbone One
Two controllers were included in the high end tier of this top iPhone gaming controllers list . I have to say that these two are roughly the same cost, based on what sales Amazon may be running, however both have excellent build quality and are as near as you will ever attain portability and perfection.

Razer Kishi
Razer Kishi for iOS – Lightning (Not the USB C version)
My personal preference in my iPhone gaming needs using controller because of the ease of use that the device offers. The right joystick is odd for its placement compared to my hands that are small and medium in size, and the d-pad feels a bit weird so getting used to it is something you'll be required to learn. I picked this model over that of the Backbone One even though it did not have those issues because it folds up into a compact shape so that could be tucked away in the back of my bag or into pockets to carry around.

It is extremely compact and ideal for gaming in the car. I own an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it's working flawlessly. It will fit pretty much every modern iPhone even the Mini series, so don't be concerned about it not being a good fit. Last thing you should know is the fact that it is available in two different versions 1. for iOS and 2. for Android that use USB C. PS: This works in conjunction with Xbox Game Pass and OpenEmulator for iPhone.

Backbone One
Backbone One
This is another top-of-the-line option for this on the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list and I'll be honest with me that I nearly opted for this rather than the Razer Kishi because this controller has better joystick placement and a bit more robust, heavier, and a firmer feel to it making it feel a little better "pro" gaming feeling, but the looks aren't to my liking. Yet you need to choose the one that is portable more than quality, or quality over mobility?

It is true that this device includes a software launcher for games that's pretty cool, however I think it's an untruth and I wouldn't even be considered in deciding between this device and the Razer Kishi.

I can still recommend this one from what I have researched and discovered that it's a good choice . It's only individual preference that differentiates this Backbone One and the Razer Kishi as both are priced at around $100. PS this is compatible in conjunction with Xbox Game Pass

The most sensible option...
If you're looking to have the best combination of affordability and high-end build, it's best to avoid spending over 60 dollars for your controller, and purchase one of the controllers from Xbox or PlayStation using the DualShock. These are wireless, and their built quality is something the $100 controllers can't beat, however these do beat the console controllers that are official when it comes to portability.

Xbox Controller
The Xbox controller is the best value and quality balance, but before I leave you here are a few things you need to know when using an Xbox controller with an iPhone 1. The paddles won't work with an Elite Series 2 and the Elite Series 1 doesn't have Bluetooth to it won't be able to work. All different Bluetooth modern Xbox controllers work well.

PlayStation Dual Shock Controller
The controller has been tried and tested for compatibility with Emulators and virtually every game-related in iOS however, the latest PS5 controller isn't compatible with the adaptive triggers because of Sony not allowing it. Both PS4 version and PS5 version controllers are compatible good with iPhone.
