Uzman:
Bilgelerden veya elitlerden alınabilir. Uzman olması için, uzun bir süre görev yapması ve daha önce bir olaya karışmaması gerekir. Kuralları bilen ve iletişimi güçlü olan birisi tercih sebebidir.
Bilge:
Moderatör veya moderatör adaylarından seçilebilir. Cevapları kaliteli olmalı, bilgiyi güzel bir şekilde vermeli/aktarmalı. Bir konuda bilgisi olduğunu ispatlamalı. Örneğin, küçük bir sınav yapılabilir. Soruyu biz sorarız. O kişinin cevaplamasını isteriz. Meselâ zor bir mat-1 veya mat-2 veya geo sorusu olabilir. Sayısal alandaki bilge için...

Dilini iyi kullanmayan bir kişinin moderatör olarak bulunması doğru olmaz. Burada sadece silim yapılmaması ve çözümlerin ağırlıkta olması sebebiyle; özellikle bu grubun dilinin iyi olması gerekir. Dilini güzel kullanmayanlar moderatörlüğe kaydırılabilir.
