At what level should you hang art?
It may seem obvious, but art should be at eye level to be easy to view and appreciate. This height is generally about 60-inches from the center of the piece of artwork to the floor. Art hung above any furniture should be placed with at least 4 to 5-inches of space between the top of the furniture and the artwork.

Arranging a group of art
Groups of art or a gallery wall are very attractive. Remember to leave enough wall space to balance the art that is on display. If you have an eclectic mix of pictures, try and select a grouping with something in common. This could be a similar colour or theme. It could even be a group of images in a similar style. If you are unsure of how the pictures would work together, stand them all up against the wall side by side. You can lay the pictures out on a floor area that measures the same as the wall and experiment with different arrangements to find the one that looks most attractive to you. If you cannot find a theme that ties all the pictures together, you can frame them in similar frames. The wall space between the pictures should not be too wide in places. Even wall art canvas painting work well if the wall space showing between pictures is consistent.

How to hang a set of pictures together
A picture split into two or three panels looks best when precisely hung in line with each other. For sets of three, start with the middle picture and centre it to the wall or the piece of furniture that it goes over. Then measure and mark places for the pictures on either side to be hung equidistant from the first one. When marking and measuring to hang the pictures use a carpenter’s level and a measuring tape to get it right.

Canvas prints
A canvas print is a piece of art printed on material similar to what artists paint on to give a more realistic and attractive finish. They last longer than plain paper or photo prints and look more authentic. Canvas prints are generally stretched over a frame. They can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Unlike framed prints, they do not have any glare. They also weigh less than a framed print making large canvas prints easy to hang.

Storing a canvas print wall hanging
If you have too many canvas prints and rotate them, you will have to store the unused prints safely. When you store your canvas prints, ensure that they are kept upright and away from direct sunlight. If you store the wall hanging lying down, the canvas will get faint lines from the impressions of the canvas stretcher bars over time. UV rays could cause the colours of your print to fade. A wall hanging should be stored in a cool and dry place and preferably covered by cloth to protect from sunlight, dust, and cobwebs.
