This is a story I created. I really like Spotify. They don't have enough music coming from overseas. Amazon music and Apple/Itunes are both services I enjoy, but they don’t offer new and exciting music until they're too old. I love di.fm and similar streaming radio stations, however they rarely offer new and exciting music and their music comes in 1hr increments. However, they are great when you wanna party, have a tunneling session or throw down..
Youtube is the place I go to. YouTube is where you can go to find music from all over the world and it is available right after it is played on radio stations. This is not just because labels share music on Youtube, but also because of all the music lovers who listen to new songs on the radio, record it, save it to a video file and share it on youtube as a video. You can also take a video of themselves listening to the new song, and share that.. Some of these shares become viral and receive millions of views. Copyright claims service might not be able to detect them.
This lets you look up any new or older track on Youtube in dozens of copies. If I like the music, it's fine. That's why I visit YouTube to search for the most popular music, and then get copies, and I've not had to pay fees for music for years. I am awestruck that I can get music from the 80s, as well as music from the 90s as well as dance hits from 2000s. There is a lot on Youtube. Sometimes, I come across videos that say "this is what prevented people from listening" but this does not stop me. I go to Flvto as well as Y2mate and start fishing for mp3s.
What is the process? I just type in my search and it returns 2 dozen results. When I click on any one of those results it offers me the ability to download mp4 files , or convert YouTube videos into mp3 format. It's quick and doesn't need any technical skills. I have access to all of my music on Youtube and listen to it while at home. It isn't a problem what happens to videos. Also, I have copies of my time-shifted playlist in my computer, ready for me whenever I need these. It's fantastic. It allows me to bypass the limitations Youtube places on my "country", so that I can listen to music from Europe or Africa without any issues.
