My friend was talking to me about clouds back in 1990, he was referring to "fluffy clouds in the air" by The Orb the song that was first released in the year 1990 and since that has been a cult tune of the 90-s and 2000-s.. It was used most often in trance DJ sets by Nick Warren and Sasha in the 90s. Later on, Deep Dish and James Zabiela utilized it in the 2000s. Sometimes, it would pop up on the dance music scene when it was a fresh attempt to remix it in an EDM genre. It always made me smile to hear it once and again reaching out to souls and trying to showcase what real house and trance music is all about, the roots, the history, the traditions.
I prefer listening to vinyl records if I own the originals. But with this song I have nothing, and was not around, never at the shops, as I am building my collection. It's an old-fashioned song, and I'll eventually get it. I suggest saving this song as mp3 to your device. In the last 30 years, I'm not sure royalties have been applied to it. This can be done through installing one of these Youtube-to-Mp3 Converters. It is free and simple to use. Simply copy the video URL from the browser/app, then paste it into the input field. You'll see choices for downloading videos as well as an mp3 converter. However, let's return to the initial idea behind this post. I was looking to talk about cloud storage and ways to keep your music on cloud. Or keeping it there.
If you're using Amazon or Spotify to stream music it is in fact accessing songs stored somewhere in the cloud. Cloud is simply online storage that app makes use of when you request it to play some music. It just connects to Internet to download the song and play it for you. This can be either good or not, depending on your setting. For example, if you only have a limited monthly data allowance on your mobile device it is possible to think about limiting the app's activities to only when you have a free and unlimited WIFI connection. Apps will sometimes reuse music that you have already downloaded or streamed if the cache isn't expired. There are some advantages of this approach. However, I am constantly telling HULU to stream my TV shows. It's not because I want them , but because I want that they are available during my commute home or to work. I travel around twelve times per hour and go through no-service areas.
It's probably the right time to reduce my commute so that I can finally work from home. This is what Covid and the entire situation demand. https://ytmp3.works/ But I always return to Covid, simply because I need to get out of this house for a couple of hours a day... Then I think whether cloud is better? Or is having them readily available on my device better? However, the drawback is that monthly storage can be used up faster However it's a matter of the amount of music mp3 files my device can hold because desktops have huge hard drives. However, my Samsung Galaxy 10 is filled with my home videos. The addition of another mp3 might cause one of my sweet 15 videos might be deleted. However, I don't think it will happen.. Since I don't have to lose precious memories stored on my phone, I can still listen to music and television shows via cloud.
What do you think? Cloud? Local storage? I think time will tell the answer, but I would rather have to combine both.
