The physical fitness app that I chose is the POLAR app, combined with the chest band that I purchased to monitor my heart rate correctly. It's an app I have used previously to monitor my workouts and heart rate, so I'm fairly comfortable with it and can work my way around it and use it to track my physical fitness journey and statistics for this course. This app fits all of the criteria that is required for this course, meaning that it correctly monitors heart rate, length of workout session, and correctly logs my workouts to keep track of them. Overall, this app and heart rate monitoring chest band has worked well for me and I will continue to use it and screenshot it of course to monitor my heart rate and workouts. I have attached the screenshot of my first workout below.

Today begins the first workout within this course and I just completed it about thirty minutes ago. Although I assumed it would be fairly easy, I worked much harder and pushed myself to complete all tasks with correct form in order to ensure my workout journey is successful and without injury, hopefully. The most challenging workout I had to do was the 10 sets of 10 pushups, it took a lot of perseverance to be able to complete it and I know certainly that my chest will continue to burn, in a good way of course, and be quite sore for a while, but I like to think of that as a good thing. This workout took me almost half an hour, mainly because I had to take a couple of brief breaks in order to complete the push-ups. I would not say this workout was specifically too hard, or too easy, but that it was challenging and much harder than I assumed it would be. This workout affected me through my chest and legs burning, as well as my heart pumping quite fast, but I know that leads to beneficial things physically for my future. Personally through this workout I learned that I have a lot of aspects of my physical fitness to improve on, especially my ability to have the cardio and endurance to complete the workouts. This beginning of my fitness journey in this course will take determination and hard work and I look forward to completing all of my workouts in their entirety, even if it takes me longer than usual in comparison to other students. Overall, this first workout was much more challenging than I assumed, but I felt great and accomplished was it was completed.
