The Professional Gambler
I'd like to begin by explaining what this piece is about, or rather, who it's not about. The Professional Gambler does not make a lot of noise or attract attention to himself. The professional gambler won't make the high-roller wagers. No, the real pro is a quiet, reserved committed player. The skilled gambler is aware that to stay ahead in the game, you must consider gambling as something that is a business, a profitable business.

Professional gamblers never "go out for a whole day (or evening) of gambling." The professional wouldn't think that they'd be playing all the night. In fact, the pro typically knows in the initial 30 minutes whether or not to continue playing or to decide to call it a day. Professional gamblers gamble with the sole purpose of winning, not to entertain themselves. It's work. It's a job. It's impossible to know how long it will take for either to win enough or to lose enough. However, an experienced player will recognize these limitations and will have the ability and discipline to take action in a manner that is appropriate.

There is a chance that you've played a professional at times. You probably wouldn't remember that. The only thing that can be noticed by an experienced player is when the player wins, and then stops. He or she is not content to play and keep moving because they're "out for the night" of betting. Professional gamblers prefer to see a movie or a show in order to entertain themselves. Gambling isn't an "activity" like so many tourists look upon it. You go to Vegas or Atlantic City and you gamble all the night. This is what recreational gamblers do. They find it very easy to rationalize...something like this; "Well I played all night and it only cost me $200. This isn't too bad for the night with no cost drinks." It's called the tourist mentality. You might hear of people who won thousands in Vegas. It can happen. It is possible. But, you will likely hear the tale that goes:
"I had a total of 3 or 4 hundred dollars, but I lost it all back." It is rare to hear a professional make a claim like that. If one's intention is to make a profit, then they will recognize that 3 to 4 hundred dollars is an excellent profit, and is likely to be gone.

The professional gambler is a combatant of the guerrilla. They're not in it for a marathon gaming spree. The pro is playing to make a profit. It doesn't take long to be a winner or loser, and definitely not every day. It is possible that they can get an winning streak, and believe me when I say that the professional will be able to recognize it and ride through the entire duration. Most of the time however, the professional's play will only last long enough to make profits or lose the most. Casinos will never see the money that professionals win. The professional is way wiser than the casino that chance.

The expert is far too smart to believe that there is an algorithm that can always beat casinos, no matter which game they are playing. Strategies and betting strategies that have been tested will be used by professional gamblers to improve their chances of winning. Very few decisions will actually be made during the course of the game. http://stylartstore.com/ of professional's decisions are taken before they even approach the game. Professionals stick to their existing strategies and betting patterns. Professionals do not "chase their money". A pro can, and will, accept the occasional loss. It's what happens. It occurs. There will be days where you earn little or none at all, and may make losses if travel costs are included. The professional gambler , however, examines the cumulative total of play. It's not "how much did I lose or win today?" http://stylartstore.com/ammattimainen-blackjack-pelaaja/ like "How much am I ahead in the month ahead or for in the coming year?"

Professional poker players are one of the subjects I'd like to discuss. They are in an entirely different class! Some poker players don't see themselves to be gamblers. These players contend that poker is a game that requires ability and they have a great deal of skill. Everything I've written above is not applicable to the professional poker player. In the next few months, I'll likely write an article on the subject. They're certainly an amazing breed!
