This works for any live video that is limited in time or only available to subscribers. It has never been a problem for me. I'm suffering from a slow and intermittent internet connection at home. I use the WiFi mobile hotspot from the motel across the street. Once in a while I bring water to their office. Updates to the password occur every few weeks. This saves me on the cost of purchasing my own home Internet, plus I do not have cable or anything that would require some time to install and also I'm renting and this is a question I'd need to bring up with the tenant.. Do you see how far this is already going? It's amazing how much work is required to get your own home cable connection. I simply access the internet through my motel instead. Therefore, if there's an exclusive online seminar like that of my investment advisor or my university has a visiting lecture with some famous person, it's all the more. The slow internet connection I have means I'm unable to stream live video. As you can see in the following, downloading video takes about three times as long as it is supposed to. My connection speed is also very slow. I'm able to only stream videos without buffering interruptions. My connection is about 30% slower than I would require. The speed was so low that my internet connection could not handle it . I discovered a way around it. I saved online video on my computer so that it could be watched repeatedly.



Here are some of my recent actions. I launch Chrome browser. Firefox, Safari and any other browser that has an inspect tab. Right click on the page, call the inspect page and then switch to the network tab and look for the video playlist files. It will usually include the extension m3u8 in the list. Or it might be something else. However, those characters will still be there to signify the playlist you want to play that you can use for your video streaming. The video stream then gets divided into smaller files that your browser downloads one at a time and plays them in the correct order. This ensures you have continuous streaming. This process is seamless and requires more data transfer than the file size However, this is the way MPEG transport streams are configured and it is not a reason to complain.



Then I click on the playlist and copy its URL address (into the clipboard) and then go to the website for downloading online video. I type the video playlist URL in the input box, hit submit, and am presented with several download options. They provide possible file sizes and the transfer time. The higher the quality of the file bigger, the bigger it'll become. I would prefer a lower quality file because it's quicker to use my Internet.



I prefer downloading the file. Most often, it's in mp4 video format. It takes hours but the end result is worth it. It's difficult to watch live, so I save online video to my personal computer. This allows me to keep track of all information accessible. It's my way of doing it to stimulate my brain with new concepts and thoughts. All of this comes to life when I save video and turn off WiFi. I recommend you try that too. Smooth streaming with no buffering or lagging.
