You should bring a laptop, tablet, and sometimes even an iPhone with videos to take camping with the kids.

This is something I have learned through trial and error. My mother has been on my shoulder all week, telling me to plan this and keep in mind that. I was ecstatic about my first camping trip with her grandkids as well as my mom and she was always advising me on what to do. I don’t mind my mom’s talking. We set off in the car with the intention to bring it all back to the campsite. I had a beautiful background ready to see my projector, which I carried to create large-screen effects videos. The only issue was that there wasn't Internet access to Hulu, Netflix, or Disney+. All they wanted was to check their emails, text messages and school issues, etc. It was too for me, so I packed everything up to go. My kids made sounds similar to piglets eating delicious food as they emerged from the wifi-less zone. I love my children. This was just embarrassing. They squealed and groaned when their phones began to sound a beep, signalling new messages on their phones.

Since then, I've become more prepared and have tried to avoid an internet-less zone which doesn't permit roaming. After an extremely long boat ride to the destination, I realized myself in need of my two best buddies: two tablets and a laptop. They had Hulu online video downloads at one end, Netflix movies, and shows on the other. The laptop had music videos, as well in some movies I have downloaded to watch later with Hulu as well as Netflix apps through the Windows app store. I have about 600 hours of material to watch which includes the complete Will & Grace, Friends and South Park seasons and added episodes.

There are a ton of YouTube videos with funny stuff for children. I downloaded a few Youtube music videos, and converted some to mp3 format. I came across this website application that allows me download video directly to my laptop. This allows me to enjoy the videos on my laptop at any time I want, as long as I have power. I DVR a lot of TV shows as well as seminars, films, and movies online. The video files are saved as MP4 on my computer. I can then open them later using VLC or KMP.

Another thing I insist on is 4k. Have you ever watched? It's fantastic! I would highly recommend. There is great software in new TVs which support 4K image. It processes the picture and enhances it, then enhances it, and then upscales it. So old video becomes so much better on the new TV, despite the fact that it's not that good at all, but just squarish kind of blockish recording, but it turns into a smooth and elegant contemporary video flows. Highly recommending to all the guys and girls!
