The history of the Fan Tan
Fan Tan is an ancient card game in which players compete to become the first to get all of the cards played. The four 7s are the only cards that can be used in the beginning. Once the 7 in each suit has been used then the 6 and 8 can be played. Next, the A (highest) and the K (low). This is thought to be the earliest variant of the game. Sir Richard Williams translated it into English in 1815. It was then popularized in England by John Murray Smith and the "Lord" whom we know as William Shakespeare.

In the beginning, the aim is simply for the winners to remain in the "high" sevens, while the losers have to go to the "low sevens", otherwise called the "blooms". When two players are at a standstill, one may replace a card drawn from the hand with a card from the new deck. Continue this until all cards are gone. Thus, we have the oldest version of the game that we recognize now as fan tan.

Fan Tan is normally played in groups of two. In groups one player is considered to be the highest card and the other player is considered the low card. The two players then alternated. Splitting the pairs into single cards is a common practice when a group is larger than four. Each player will manage two pairs at the same time. 먹튀폴리스 The standard is to set the pairings and play Fan Tan in the same way as pairs.

In a variety of variants of fan-tan sevens are typically played the same manner. However, there is an alternative to fan-tan where the sevens alternate in the center of the table, instead of being placed on table edges. Fan-tans are also known as fan-tans, or simply fan. They're also called "smooth" or "even".

It is possible that the name originated from the Middle East, where fans were believed to bring luck to the people who used them. People would go to a fancan (or fantan) parlor. They were renowned for their unique rituals which involved holding a fan above the head, and exhaling hot fumes. It may sound strange to some, but in the past people began to refer to the sensation of heat as fantine or fantasan.

The popularity of fan-tans later expanded to North America, and to less extent, to Central Europe. In Portugal for instance the coins were usually imprinted with special designs that represented the rich culture of the region. A fan-tan bearing the olive tree's image or the Portuguese flag was a favorite choice. In time, the idea of personal coin circulation arose in which local people would frequently swap coins from one pile to the next. Coin collecting and placing coins in various piles led to the formation of what is now known as a standard fan tan.

The exact origins of the modern casino game of fortune telling are unclear but it's likely that the European fan-tan was influenced by Chinese gambling games, such as the Tan Na Card. The game was created by an Chinese general who wanted to create an avenue between the West and East. Similar to the game we know today players would gather around the Fan Tan in anticipation of cards to fall in a range of colors representing the zodiac. If the cards fell in multiple divisions, the player knew that his luck was about to alter.

Due to the popularity of gambling westerners also brought the concept of Fan Tan Fan Tan into their lives. Although most European players would play an alternative to the Chinese games, the English and Dutch were among the players who played with the fantasy. This variant of Chinese games often involved duels of jousting, which is essentially an alteration of the Chinese fan-tan.
