Apex Legends Mirage BUFF Hidden in Fight Night Update (HE IS INSANE NOW)

hey guys sethly here back with another apex legends video. I hope you're having a fantastic day. In this video I wanted to cover something pretty big that i noticed in the new fight night event patch notes that were released yesterday along with the trailer and dev stream. Before we go any further, real quick I wanted to apologize for the lack of uploads last month. its a new year and Ill be bringing a lot of consistent content and new videos so lets just get right into it. As im sure almost all of you know, the new Collection Event Patch Notes and Trailer came out yesterday, and its coming with a lot of great changes like the new town takeover, an heirloom and much more. Ill link the full patch notes in the description if you want to see everything thats coming when the event starts on the 5th at 8PM PT.

The update is also bringing some new legend changes to the game including a decrease in tactical cooldowns for both Rampart and Caustic. But according to the patch notes, those are the only two buffs listed under Legend Meta Updates. However, there is a small detail that is super important yet practically hidden at the end of the notes. Its a quote unquote bug fix for mirage that solves an issue where Mirage’s decoys dont make footstep sounds. So once the event is out, all of mirages decoys will now make footstep sounds just like the real one. Meaning you will no longer be able to identify the real one by listening for footsteps. I know im not the only one that thought his decoys not having movement audio was a deliberate change to counteract the buffs he received in the past. But apparently, that actually was never intended and was a bug the whole time. Even though according to Respawn, this is a bug fix, it has the same effect as a legend buff so im excited to see what type of impact it will have on how hard it is to find the real mirage. Also im curious as to how it will sound since as we all know, apex has had some audio and footstep issues this season which is probably why they left the bug in originally.

This buff reminds me of back in season 1 when Respawn randomly patched a quote unquote bug that caused cloaked mirage to be too noticeable. But that bug was in the game since launch, so nobody even knew that mirage was supposed to be fully invisible, and not just opaque.
