Outline your 31 For 31 contribution from the weekend AND today.
Which clean variation did you use? Was this effective? What went well, and what would you do differently next time?
Read the following quotation and explain how this philosophy can help YOU decide how to approach workouts during the lockdown. Please ask Coach if you have questions. “There is always an optimal solution for training an athlete, and the key is to find that solution.” -Coach Ashton King
Tuesday
What did you do for your 31 For 31 Challenge today?
How difficult was the ascending ladder? Did this take a long time to complete? If you could sub one exercise into the ladder and take one out, what would your choices be? Why?
Use the GMAPS Pedometer site to create a cross-country ski / snowshoe / winter hike loop starting and ending at the track on the NG property. Your loop CANNOT cross any roads or trespass on private property. Grab a screen shot of your loop and the details and include it in your training log.
Wednesday
Outline your 31 For 31 Challenge contribution today. With only 11 days left, do you feel you are forming some positive habits? Explain.
What was the toughest aspect of the workout today? Example: my struggle was getting the timing right… by the third round I was starting to be more consistent.
Your turn to weigh in on a discussion/friendly argument among some coaches I follow: Zip up hoodies or pull-over hoodies? Why? Also consider: 1/4 zip hoodies? **Some of you are asking “Whaaaat? Why?” Because it’s Wednesday… silly debate so everyone gets to weigh in…**
Thursday
What was your 31 For 31 Challenge contribution today? **Coach’s comment: I have had no problem with the screen-free part of my challenge (just figuring out WHEN I can unplug for 31 min). I HAVE struggled to devote 31 mins to single leg power exercises and keep telling myself that skiing counts sort of… Planning to re-focus on this for 10 days!**
What other activities did you incorporate into your active rest day? If you could pick one other activity, even if you can’t do it now because of the stay at home order, lack of facility, weather, etc, what would that activity be? How does it help your training?
What was the toughest aspect of he Warrior ROMWOD today?
Friday
What did you include in your 31 For 31 Challenge today? What do you plan to include for your challenge this weekend?
What aspect of the Friday Five workout was toughest? Explain.
What sport/athlete do you think would benefit most from this workout? Explain your answer.
Tuesday
What was your 31 For 31 Challenge contribution today?
Outline ONE positive habit you have either STARTED or CONTINUED in this class. Why is this habit important to your training?
