Introduction: Every 4 years, The United States Electoral College has a selection of electors that will come together during the Presidential Election to give their votes for who will be the next President and Vice President for the United States.
Hook/Thesis: The votes will be counted by congress to then determine who will be the next leader. As for a more direct and organized matter, the electors should be the ones who elect the president.
Background Info: When people cast their votes, they are most likely voting for who the electors should be.
Topic Sentence: The ETC. consists for at least 538 electors. This is where they will make they're final decision, which will regulate whos running, and determine of they're rank will stay the same or go higher.
Example: As stated in paragraph 15 "Source 3: In Defense of the Electoral College: Five reasons to keep our despised method of choosing the President" it states, "The Electoral College is widely regarded as an anachronism, a non-democratic method of selecting a president that ought to be [overruled] by declaring the candidate who receives the most popular votes the winner. The advocates of this position are correct in arguing that the Electoral College method is not democratic in a modern sense... it is the electors who elect the president, not the people. When you vote for a presidential candidate you're actually voting for a slate of electors.
Statement: At the end, the candidate who won the election with 270 electoral votes or more, will become the next president of the United States of America.
Conclusion/Transition: As a result, we can conclude that the U.S. Electoral College is the best way when it comes to electing the president and it should not be taken away.
