Notes

1. understand your character's goal (impress them, etc)
2. understand what the character's relationship is with the other character
3. understand what situation and where the character is speaking
GOAL - What does your character want more than anything in the scene?
REASON - WHY does your character want what he/she wants? Make it specific and important.
RELATIONSHIP - What is your relationship to the other character(s) in the scene? Be specific. Be sure to discuss how you feel about the other character(s) RIGHT NOW.
PHYSICAL SURROUNDINGS - Where does your scene take place? Give as much detail as possible. Thoroughly describe your surroundings.
MOMENT BEFORE - What was happening immediately before your scene began? If this is not indicated in your script, make a choice.
TACTICS - How does your character go about getting what he/she wants
CONFLICT - What is standing in the way of your character getting what he/she wants?
EXPECTATION - What does your character expect will be the outcome of the scene?
