Hi. Please excuse me answering you in English; it is to make sure i won’t mess something up with the language, to be certain that i am fully understandable.
I‘ve made two attempts to apply, but frankly i am not 100% convinced. It is a corporation after all, and I have worked already in two corpos before, and strongly believed i will not do it again. It is usually a tradeoff between uncertainty and lack of organization in startups/smaller firms, vs lack of freedom and bizarre processes which you sometimes don’t understand or fully agree with in corporations.

Please don’t get me wrong, i understand why they are important, what are they for. It is just hard to change anything in huge firms.
It shows a bit above, when you say „exceptionally“ one can work on Linux workstations. I understand that pain too, and i know exactly the reasons and the why’s IT is running all their stuff, salt or similars, on devs machines. It is just not something i like, forcing updates or corporate stuff remotely, accounting all your connected equipment, forcing reboots on machine, battles to get proper vpn and/or remote access, or antivirus hogging 100% cpu... i’ve been there, it is just not effective work for me. PC is a tool, and for me it is obvious that one takes care for the work tools.

From technical point of view it sounds fun, i heard good things about Zephyr, my colleague actually even contributed a patch there. It could be potentially fun to help you switch all svn to git. But i am a bit skeptical, would that work. Engineers have usually little to say about changes, especially in bigger environments, in hierarchical approvals workflow. This leads to frustration and motivation loss. I am already in the mid of my thirties, I would not want to start something over, hoping it will work out and be disappointed. It does not need to happen, sure. But with such issues one sees upfront, chances are decreasing, aren’t they. Corona of course just adds to the burden, it is risky to change jobs now, and after all - i do work to have a living - so i need to be certain that i can earn enough to be able to sustain my current lifestyle. While this is a mutual contract, company has to have a benefit from hiring someone and generate revenue, usually the burden lays on “weaker” player, which compared to corporations is always an employee.
