I originally came to Japan in order to fulfill my dream of someday living here and to figure out what I wanted to do in the future. I have achieved both of those goals, and I believe it is time for me to move on. Having spent many of the last 5 years teaching English and making presentations with medical professionals, they helped me discover my next goal in life.
I wish to study medicine for 2 main reasons. Like many others in these programs, they wish to help people and see them happy. I also find a sense of self-actualization when I see my students succeed and hear how my lessons have indirectly helped save lives. There is no better feeling than that. However, I also have a selfish motive for this application. I realized that there are very few things I enjoy more than learning. I wish to spend my whole life doing just that, and there is no end to what I can learn from studying physics and medicine. In my free time, I study an Anatomy and Physiology textbook in order to better help my clients as well as better help my future in medicine. I also watch science videos and read science news on a weekly basis.
