Notes

Question 1:
For relaxation, I gravitate towards playing the piano and strumming the ukulele. I have been a musician for approximately 8 years, and it has been quite a journey. Though I love creating a pleasing melody on stringed instruments, piano has always been my most prominent go-to. I imbedded this hobby from several family members. Growing up surrounded by music, I could remember listening to the heavy concentration of Beethoven effortlessly playing one of his most famous pieces—Für Elise. In hindsight, I began to develop a passion for the overall world of music myself, and, to this day, continue to astonish other friends with a newly practiced song; whether it be from a movie, or a classical tune created during the 1800's. Aside from instruments, I also enjoy swimming and basketball. I have been moving through the water for 2 years, and am currently on the elite team. It was undoubtedly nerve-racking to flip underwater, as acrobatics was never my forte. However, I have managed to acquire the habit of self-motivation through developing this skill over time. As for basketball, I play power forward. Competing against opponents along with my friends has been a great rollercoaster of wins and losses. At the end of the day, we're able to reflect back on ourselves. I think that is what makes competitive sports so alluring, it is the fact that you are determined to do even better in the future.

Question 2:
Before quarantine began, I often found myself going out to try new boba tea flavors. There was one shop I liked in particular. Like many other residents of Northern California, T4 was the ultimate hangout spot that served a variety of delicious Taiwanese drinks and snacks. As I was walking to the cafe one day, I began wondering if there were any ROBLOX games dedicated towards serving boba. To my surprise, I stumbled upon this group during its first version. Unfortunately, the drink machines were not working that day, so I passed by only with its name at the back of my mind. It wasn't until a few months later that I realized Boba Cafe became Bloxton's newest alliance, a group in which I have contributed to for over 2 years now. As the second version released, I gladly hopped on to see what was new. I enjoyed my time at the cafe, and decided to stick by for awhile. This was when there were less than 100,000 members. It's refreshing to see how fast the group grew. :)

Question 3:
Over winter break, I often found myself working at the cafe almost every day. Occasionally, my friends and I would do a shift together, which only made me more motivated to continue my journey at Boba. The Management Team has also been nothing but kind and understanding. I love the overall environment here, and I believe that by taking a step further into applying, I would be able to show my gratitude for all the great opportunities that have been presented to me over the past few weeks by further assisting the growth of this group. Another factor that inspired me to apply was that I love boba tea myself. Thus, it would be particularly enjoyable to supervise a group focused on one of my true interests.

Question 4:
I believe that I am an ideal candidate for this position because of my developed ability to demonstrate practical teamwork under pressure. I work well individually and as a group member. Due to my experience of being a Manager at Bloxton, I have a decent idea on how to work the moderation system. This would include handling disruptive trolls in a professional manner, answering questions precisely, as well as maintaining a well-balanced schedule. I am always able to keep my word and do what is best for everyone. Moreover, I am a fast learner, and hope to exceed standard expectations to the best of my ability. Outside of the work environment, I believe that my social skills will be helpful within the platform as well. From initiating a friendly conversation in public chat, to comforting someone in times of trouble, I promise to represent Boba well. All in all, I have acquired relevant experience within the past few years that will benefit this group.

Question 5:
Of course, I am willing to do the best I can. My plans are to go beyond the basic requirements, and work at a unique pace of my own. Seeing that dedication and hard work is able to take a person incredibly far, that is currently my ideal road to go down. With such a friendly community, I would like to learn new skills and build foundational relationships with other people. I am self-motivated and always looking for creative ideas to bring to the table. While I constantly remain professional in order to ensure that the initial plan works out, I am still able to be flexible with new changes. In addition to this, I hope to bring a positive outlook during difficult situations. Though I still have certain expectations for myself, such as ensuring that everyone continue to abide by the set guidelines through a somewhat strict attitude, remaining friendly and approachable will surely be useful to both sides.

Question 6:
I am looking forward to participating in crucial discussions that will effect Boba for the better. I enjoy thinking outside of the box, and sharing my innovative ideas with others. Lately, I have been exploring new role-play games through alliances, and this group seems to be the perfect fit. While searching, I was looking for a place with a friendly environment, along with a professional team ready to create a safe place for others to enjoy. Undoubtedly, Boba has managed to soar above those expectations, which is what makes it so captivating for me. Furthermore, I am excited to assist in the process of growing members. I also want to help others learn from their mistakes, and allow everyone to safely bring their perspective in an opinion. All in all, I seek a refreshing challenge, and would love to help benefit others through personal growth.

Question 7:
Being the oldest sibling has allowed me to develop many positive qualities, some of which include patience and honesty. I am open to hearing what others have to say, and am not afraid to show vulnerability. I can critique my work and realize what I have to improve on, all without pushing my mental health over the boundaries. I would also consider myself a hard-working person. When I set a goal for myself, I am determined to achieve it. My weakness, however, has always been time management. I have had trouble trying to balance school work and activity on ROBLOX. This only worsened during online learning: a period of time where I lacked motivation the most. Fortunately enough, I am back to physical school and trying to get myself back on track by creating a well-thought-out schedule. I wish to carry this on when working at Boba.
