Good afternoon, I am going to talk about a main reason why I believe schools should get involved with cyber bullying ,deal with and also discipline it. My first point is that schools should punish cyber bullying because it affects the person or in this case students’ emotionally and psychologically. And what do I mean by that? Students or pupils that are bullied are likely to experience anxiety, depression, loneliness, unhappiness, and poor sleep. Cyber bullying damages the victim's academic capability by attacking them mentally and emotionally, which may affect their physical well being as well. Since the student is attacking another student in the school; although it happens outside the school. The school is not completely unrelated to the issue. It has all the rights to ensure a safe environment for its students. Having a bullied student in the class does NOT promote a safe learning environment for the rest of the class. Therefore, bullying is a problem that, if left unattended, can become a significant hurdle in a person’s or students development. Just think if there were a lot more people getting cyber bullied? I have never heard of any school that wants to be known for having the worst student academic performances.
