~ Mobius Dick
Problems are weird. You don't really want to solve a problem until you feel deeply concerned or motivated by it. You'd be trying to foray into stellar space with chemical propulsion (not viable even for solar space). On the other hand, you can't solve problems without detachment, because you can't begin to understand them without detachment. When you are too attached to the problem, it becomes personal. It morphs... So, it follows that the only way to really solve a problem for the solution's sake must be to become so involved, you lose yourself in the process. This isn't some esoteric concept, but a phenomenon (hopefully) all of us have experienced at some point or the other. If solving a problem requires you to be central to its resolution, then there's a high likelihood you might just become a part of the problem. After all, the problem now revolves around you. So, do YOU need to solve the problem. Or do you need the problem to be solved?
Problems are fractals. If someone doesn't ask you to solve some problem for them, it could mean they don't want to let you in. Or it could mean they see no reason to let you in. Letting you in would be futile (even counter-productive) with your current conceptions. We all bring our biases to the problems we set out to solve, unless we recognize this and control for them. Sometimes we don't recognize. Sometimes we just can't control for them. In either case our observation changes the observed. This isn't just a quantum physics phenomenon but an all-too-human phenomenon. When all you've got is a hammer, every problem is a nail... Without realizing that, if you have already entrenched yourself in said problem, it now takes on new dimensions. It's no longer the original problem you self-nominated to solve. Now the larger issue is that "I am trying to help them, and they seem to have a problem with that." The person YOU believed YOU needed to help is now the 'ingrate'😹... It could also mean when you conceived the problem in your mind, they didn't know. Or they would have laughed it off.
So, instead of now manufacturing problems you believe only YOU can solve--just to save face--why not take a good look at your gordian knot? (gordian knots are not known to be suitable propellants either.) Be advised, in the process, you might discover you didn't understand an iota.
