Lord Strathcona

In regards to the Lord Strathcona Medal, I am an appropriate candidate to receive it for numerous reasons. Firstly, I fit the first 6 objective criteria to be a recipient. I am in Level 4 and have therefore completed both 3 cadet years and Proficiency Level 3. I also hold a bronze level badge in cadet fitness. I maintain an exemplary attendance record, having only missed 1 or 2 days in previous years. Furthermore, I have not missed any training nights or section meetings this year. While, we have not had many other activities this year, I have attended well over 50% of scheduled events in previous years, including tagging, ACS weekend, and community parades. For being a model cadet, I participate in a variety of events and attempt to support junior cadets. Apart from mandatory training events and the aforementioned activities, I am also an active participant in other parts of cadets. I have attended summer camp both years it was available to me, and I was also a part of online summer camp last year. I was in ground school this year, and have participated in effective speaking and drill team with arms (spare). I had also attended the level 4/5 training seminar on leadership in the armed forces. Most recently, I joined the keynote speaker (Hayley Wickenheiser) webinar as training supplementation. Outside of official cadets, I am a member of a social guild for cadets from all elements and countries. In terms of my peers, in our squadron group chats (unaffiliated), I always try to answer the various questions from junior cadets. I have also been chosen for desk duty multiple times, as I believe my seniors regard me as responsible. For these reasons, I believe I am suitable to receive the Lord Strathcona Medal.
