That is a lot of money for a good number two pass rusher, and this is definitely an overpay. While he has had a lot of production over the past few seasons, no one has had more cleanup pressures over the past two seasons than Dupree, and he likely won’t put up that same production in Tennessee. That being said, he is still a good player, and he does fill a need. Depending on what Harold Landry does next year, Dupree could be the best pass rusher the Titans have, and he’ll certainly be an upgrade over Jadeveon Clowney. Pass rush was probably the worst thing the Titans did last year. However, when you have as many pressing needs as the Titans do without much cap space, I don’t feel great in investing that much money on Dupree. It’s not the worst use of money, but I do think they overpaid him quite a bit, and for that reason I don’t love it.
