A boy named Elias lives in a very beautiful house by the sea. He bikes to school everyday and plays with his toys. He always asks his parents for new toys. On a Sunday evening, he saw a game on TV and asked his mom and dad to buy it. His mom didn't want Elias to buy it because he has two rooms filled with toys. His mother tried to explain to him that money doesn't grow on trees. He told her that they have been facing financial difficulties. Elias was sad and slept into a dream that would change him. He dreamt that he was in a green field and heard a meow. He saw an orange cat in a box under the tree. The cat asked for help from Elias. The cat wanted Elias to get fishes in the field. Elias didn't know where to look but the cat said that they were in a box but you have to put coins inside a small hole but Elias didn't have any money. The cat told Elias that he has to work for money. Elias then remembered that his grandfather brings him to a garden and showed him how to take care of plants. The cat said that Uncle Euro own the field. People call him that because he is the only one who has euros in his house. The cat said he can cut the dried leaves and water some flowers and he will surely give you coins so he can fill his belly for today. Elias took care of the field with his best and went to Uncle Euro's house and got some coins. He put them in the little hole and the cat was very happy. The little cat was very thankful but the cat was worried about tomorrow. Elias thought of a small grocery store with the sweetest blackberries and his mom showed him how to make tarts so Elias made a giant tart and sold it. After hours, he collected enough coins to feed the cat for a very long time. Elias was very tired and woke up from his dream. He went down and asked for a money box to earn up his money to buy the game. In a year, Elias learned how to invest money. He hosts a World Savings Day and explains something about his dream.

1.) I chose this story because it was about saving money and what most young children don't know.
2.) What I like best about this story is how Elias learned how to save money by just a simple dream and that means that many children can also learn in a simple way.
