Notes

Today I went downstairs hoping my sister would help me with something. I wanted her to encourage me and talk to our parents and I don't know, maybe act like a good sister for once. Of course, that's not what happened. Instead, I went downstairs, and told her what I wanted to do. I said, "So you know how we went to see Lea Michele last year?" She didn't answer or act like she was paying any attention to me at all. "Clara?" Nothing. "Well, we did, and I was thinking that this year, we could go see someone I like."
I told her this much before she turned on me, saying it wasn't worth it. I asked why it was worth it to see her idol but not mine. She kept on going with the insults. At the end, she said, "You're being such an annoying brat. Just talk to dad about it!"
I started to stutter-- "I haven't even figured out who I w-want to see yet--"
"Get out! I'm trying to watch something!" So she turned back to her phone and I walked away, not understanding what I'd done or why she hated me so much. As soon as I reached the stairs I started crying. But it didn't matter. She didn't hear, she wasn't listening, and if she had been, she wouldn't have given a damn.
