#Rams - This is a great move for the Rams, and I don’t know why everyone seems to think otherwise. In one move, the Rams got rid of one of the worst contracts in the league and made themselves Super Bowl contenders. I don’t see how that isn’t a great move. The Rams are a good team with Jared Goff, but they don’t just want to be good. They want to be great. Trading for Matthew Stafford makes them a great team for the foreseeable future. In my opinion, Stafford is a top ten QB and is a huge upgrade over Jared Goff. Stafford has his flaws, no doubt about that. He’s not the best decision maker or the most accurate. However, there’s no denying his arm talent and ability to elevate those around him. That’s exactly what the Rams lacked at the QB position. Far too often, the Rams came up short because Goff wasn’t able to overcome any adversity. Stafford is going to change that. As for Stafford himself, I think he’ll do great in a QB friendly scheme that is going to take advantage of his arm talent and make things much easier on him. With this trade, the Rams made the future outlook of their franchise much better, and that’s 100% worth the draft capital they gave up.
