Göçebe hayat süren sıradan bir ailenin tek çocuğu, Agustin Lorenzo. Okulunu yalnızca orta dönemine kadar tamamlandı. Zorlu bir yaşamı vardı. Hayatında sürekli zor kararlara yer vermek zorunda kaldı, liderlik ve yenilikçi düşünce tarzını bu dönemde kazandı. Santos'un hükümet sisteminde bir açık yakalayarak bunu kendi çıkarı için fazlasıyla kullandı. Bir organizasyona dahil olup Santos'da sözü geçen birisi haline geldi. Organizasyonu sıfırdan yükselişe geçirmesi için yenilikçi faaliyetlere ihtiyaç vardı. Agustin Lorenzo burada devreye girerek "Sözleşme Cinayetleri" faaliyetini devreye sokma kararı aldı. Sözleşme cinayetlerinden yüklü miktarlar kazanıyordu. Yüksek mevkide hükümet personelleri de dahil olmak üzere Amerika ve İspanya sınırları içerisinde bir çok bağlantıya sahipti. İspanyol kardeşliği adını verdiği bir tür organize gruplar ile sınır içerisinde yasa dışı faaliyetler sergileyerek yeni para desteleri ve yanında yasa dışı işlerini yaptıracak insanlar kazandı. İşleri ağırdan almaya karar verdi. Santos'un doğu yakasında lüks bir yaşam sürdürmeye karar verdi. Arkasında bıraktığı organizasyonun devamını sağlayacak bir çok kişi biriktirdi.
