1. What factors affect population size?
•Birth rate , death rate , immigration and emigration.

• I prefer to live in large city because you will meet a lot of people and the food here is good.


Exercise:
Compare the population of three below countries in terms of number of population , birth rate and death rate
1. Nigerea and Japan
•The birth rate for Nigeria in 2018 was 38.098 births per 1000 people, a 1.25% decline from 2017. The birth rate for Nigeria in 2017 was 38.582 births per 1000 people, a 1.24% decline from 2016. In 2019, death rate for Nigeria was 11.6 per 1,000 people. Death rate of Nigeria fell gradually from 22.8 per 1,000 people in 1970 to 11.6 per 1,000 people in 2019 while the population in Japan is Population 126,168,156 (July 2018 est.) , Birth rate7.5 births/1,000 population (2018 est.) , Death rate 9.9 deaths/1,000 population (2018 est.)

2. India and Canada
•Birth rate 18.2 births/1,000 population (2020 est.) , Death rate 7.3 deaths/1,000 population (2020 est.) . The population in Canada is 37.59 million (2019) , The birth rate for Canada in 2019 was 10.376 births per 1000 people, a 0.73% decline from 2018. The birth rate for Canada in 2018 was 10.452 births per 1000 people, a 0.92% decline from 2017. Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people) in Canada was reported at 7.7 % in 2018, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources.

3.Thailand and Philippines
•The population in Thailand is 69.43 million (2018) , The current birth rate for Thailand in 2020 is 10.090 births per 1000 people, a 1.81% decline from 2019. That amounts to about 419 a day, compared with a daily average of 460 deaths during the year-earlier period, according to the Health Ministry's database while here in the Philippines 2020 population is estimated at 109,581,078 people at mid year according to UN data. the Philippines population is equivalent to 1.41% of the total world population. the Philippines ranks number 13 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. The birth rate for Philippines in 2017 was 21.280 births per 1000 people, a 3.2% decline from 2016. Reported deaths in 2018 reached 590,709, an increase of 2.0 percent from the previous year's 579,237 deaths.

•As of September 30, 2020, the world's human population is estimated to be 7.82 billion. Or, 7,622,106,064 on 14 May 2018 and the United States Census Bureau calculates 7,472,985,269 for that same date and over 7 billion by the United Nations. No because every day someone dies and every day someone also lives so I don't think it can be over populated

2.Some people believe our most important goal should be sharply reduce rate of population growth in developing countries. What is your view on this issue? Explain.
•I am one of the people who believe that the number of people in a developing country should be reduced because if there are more people here there is a high probability that the development of that country will be delayed or not continue
