The Niners, led by an amazing defense and a great offense, are poised to make another deep playoff run. I have them starting 7-0, and finishing with a 12-4 record, good enough to win a very difficult NFC West division.
QUARTERBACK: Jimmy Garoppolo is a good, solid QB. He’s not great at anything, but he’s capable of running this offense and he can get the job done.
RUSHING: This outside zone run scheme is one of the most dangerous in the NFL. The Niners get great blocking, and their running backs are fast.
RECEIVING: This receiving core is much better than people realize, and that’s because Kyle Shanahan schemes guys open. George Kittle is the best TE in the NFL and is a huge mismatch problem. Deebo Samuel can get schemed open and has amazing RAC ability, and the Niners added a similar player in Brandon Aiyuk. This is a top ten receiving core.
O-LINE: The Niners have a good, top ten o-line, led by the excellent tackle duo of Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey.
RUN D: With this d-line, the Niners should have no problem stopping the run.
PASS RUSH: The Niners have the best pass rush in the league. Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, Dee Ford and Javon Kinlaw on the same team is impossible to stop.
LINEBACKERS: Fred Warner and Kwon Alexander form a good LB duo that gets the job done.
SECONDARY: Led by elite CB1 Richard Sherman, this is a pretty good secondary. K'Waun Williams is arguably the best slot corner in the league, and Jimmie Ward is an above average safety.
