Before the matches begin I notice that the end of my tennis racket is out of shape, and i keep trying to tell the teacher that my racquet is broken but he won't listen. I try fixing it myself and it turns out I can twist the frame back into shape like it's made of clay and it somehow works fine.
Each team has different numbers of members and some of the teams have to play with weird things for racquets like cones, swimming floats etc. Our team win our games and then go on to play the teacher who is his own team in the tournament and is playing his game sat at a table on a tiny court drawn on a piece of paper, using a tiny plastic golf club as a racquet and a pea-sized scrumpled piece of paper for a ball. Every time he serves the 'ball' just drops over tiny net and I lose.
So when the lesson ends i am incredibly angry and everyone else is also annoyed so we storm off. As we are doing that I think to myself that maybe the teacher's feelings were hurt so I turn back to him and say 'I'm sorry sir but I love tennis and I don't get to play much at home' and as i say this i burst into tears.
