Chapter 1 Part 2






"It's been 3 hours." Can't lie, I was more angry than worried, Ashlyn was supposed to be here long ago, can't believe she's out so late already.
"She'll be fine, she's a strong girl. She's probably out with that friend of hers, what's her name again?" I frowned at the woman, who was just standing there so innocently.
"Evelyn."
"Right." She seemed to not care whether my poor sister was gonna come home at all.
"She was supposed to be here 3 hours ago!" I was done with it, it's been too long.
"Don't raise your voice, you'll wake up the others." She says that as if she expects me to care for once.
"Why should I care if they wake up?"
"Of course you wouldn't."
"That's it. I'm tired of waiting for her." And I really was, it's already been so long, whether she's safe or not. I'm gonna find her.
"What if we wait a little lo-" I cut her off.
"Track her down, and find her."
"But what if-"
"No buts, TRACK HER DOWN. She was supposed to be here long ago, mother's gonna be worried if she's not here, she'll blame it on me."
"If you're so worried we could just-"
"No. Just find her."
"As you wish."







It was an early beautiful morning, and I woke up to the screams of my mother, yelling at me for no reason.
"What?"
"I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WAKE YOU UP FOR THE PAST 6 MINUTES!"
"Why?"
"I've got another one, she's down in the basement, someone already asked to buy her and requested quite a high price, I need her ready by noon."
"Got it, I'll get ready."
"Of course you will darling." She said that in a sweet voice, if I was a stranger I'd believe she was a normal sweet mother taking care of her precious daughter, well she wasn't. I reluctantly got up and changed, I grabbed my syringe and went to the basement, I couldn't believe my eyes. this wasn't just a girl, she was so young, probably like 7 or 6, she looked so scared, mother has kidnapped people and all, but never a kid this young. "MOTHER?!"
"Oh right, found her running around crying for her parents, she seemed like she'd be worth something at least, so I told her to come with me so I'll help her find her mommy and daddy, and she fell for it, so easily."
"Why would you take a kid this young?! What's your problem?!"
"Don't doubt me Eliza, now get her ready, the customer will be here at noon, I don't have all day."
"I can't hurt a kid! She has parents who care for her at least! She has a whole life ahead of her!"
"Well not anymore, get the kid ready!" She slammed the door and I stared at the poor girl.
In a soft whisper I said quietly. "Don't worry, I'll get you out of here."
