Citywide Patrol Commander: Şehir civarındaki tüm devriyelerden sorumlu personellerdir.
Area Patrol Commander: Belli bir bölgedeki tüm devriyelerden sorumlu personellerdir
Citywide Patrol Supervisor: Patrol Supervisor'ın aynısının tüm şehirden sorumlu versiyonudur.
Officer in Charge (OiC): Herhangi bir olayda komuta sahibi memurdur. Genellikle olaylarda en yüksek rütbeye sahip polis memuru OiC olur.
Sit-rep: Durum bilgisi. Ne oldu, nasıl oldu gibi durum hakkındaki 5N1K sorularının cevaplarını barındırır.
PIT: Pursuit Immobilization Technique, seyir halindeki araçları saf dışı bırakmak için kullanılan tekniğe verilen isimdir.
MDC: Mobile Data Computer, polis araçlarında bulunan ve polislerin işini kolaylaştırmaya yarayan laptopa verilen isimdir.
GSW: Gun Shot Wound, ateşli silahların yol açtığı yaralara verilen genel isimdir.
FTP: Field Training Program, akademiden mezun olan adayların sahada dahil oldukları programa verilen isimdir.
FTO: Field Training Officer, akademiden mezun olan adaylara FTP programında, önderlik eden personellerdir.
EMS: Emergency Medical Services, acil yardım servisine verilen isimdir.
DOA: Dead On Arrival, olay yerine vardığımızda zaten ölü olan kurbanlar için kullanılır.
BOLO: Be On Look Out, genellikle BOLO ile birlikte bir tanım verilir. Bu tanıma uyan şüpheli ya da araç belirtilir.
APB: All-Points Bulletin, arama bültenidir.
BLS: Basic Life Support, basit ilk yardımdır.
ALS: Advanced Life Support, ileri düzey ilk yardımdır.
LVA: Last Vehicle Alarm, araba hırsızlığı durumunu belli eder.
