hey guys sethly here back with another apex legends video. I hope you're all having a fantastic day. in this video i wanted to cover some news we just recently got on crossplay and i do want to make sure to tell you guys that this information does come from a dataminer so it is all leaked and speculation but that speculation is based on some really good evidence that has been found in the files. Full credit to shrugtal for these leaks, ill make sure to link him down in the description, he's a very well known and trusted dataminer in the community so although you have to take every type of leak with a grain of salt, i trust this information more than a lot of other sources. SO as you guys know everyone has been expecting crossplay to come in the fall due to the announcement that was made at ea play live however, we have never really known when the exact date is. But there has been some speculation by dataminers. shrugtal, for the past couple of weeks has been saying that he thinks that crossplay will come on the 15th of september. Now there were a lot of reasons for him to think this based on the files but one of the main reasons behind it was because there has been a leaked collection event in the files thats called aftermarket and originally the files pointed towards this event being released on the 15th. And since that is technically in the fall, it makes sense that crossplay would come out at the same time. And obviously we have reason to believe that with the release of a big event, they would likely want everyone to play together with crossplay so releasing both at the same time makes a lot of sense. However, although all the store data and files in apex pointed towards the 15th, which was the originally planned date, according to shrugtal, it looks like there were some issues with switch and crossplay causes it to get pushed back. In order to fill the extra time in between season 6 and the release of this collection event and crossplay it seems that respawn used the september soiree and ltms as a easy content to cover for the delay, so they can work on the event and crossplay. So what is the new expected release date for crossplay and the aftermarket? Well, the way shrugtal originally found the 15th of september was with the blocks of store data. Ill show on screen right now, the picture he used to describe it. So as yo guys can see 6.0 ended on the 15th which should have been the start of the event but due to the delay, block 6.0 and 6.1 have been combined leaving us with the start of the next store block being the 6th of october. So thats it guys, as of right now, the best educated guess we have based on leaks as to when crossplay will come out is the 6th of october. In reality, i thought i would be mad at the delay but honestly im just glad we likely wont have to wait more than a month from now.
