"Are we here? "I ask as we Park the truck. I get out the truck in excitement. as we start walking in the entrance of Traders Village we come across A shop full of dogs up for adoption. So I ask if we could go take a look at the puppies.

As I walk in I start to smell dog food and heard dogs barking. A dog caught my eyes. He was a Yorkie x Chihuahua mix. He was laying down and looked sad so I felt bad because he was separated from him mother. I asked my grandpa if I could adopt him and he agreed after a while of convincing. My uncle kept telling me to adopt the other dog in the same cage. But I told him I felt a connection with the Yorkie x chihuahua. So as they were filling out the adoption papers out I was looking at the collars and found a red collar with the name Max on it so I decided to name him max!

I start walking back to look at max and see how he's doing. The lady that worked there came to give me Max. and when she did I felt a wave of joy, he felt very soft. I felt Wonderful! As max falls asleep in my arms we take him to the truck. I couldn't get over how adorable he was sleeping on my lap. I tried my best not to wake him up. When we got to my grandpa's house he woke up and started wagging his tail as he saw my aunts two dogs wag their tails as they smell each other.

As we open the door my Mom was sitting at the dinning table eating and as she turned around to see who arrived she looked so surprised. she told me I could keep him and I felt complete when she said that.

2 years/3 years later my parents told me that we didn't have enough time to give Max attention so we all agreed to give him away to a couple that loved animals so he could have a better life. I still remember all the moments I had with him. I can still see him twice a year but I can't anymore because of the pandemic. But I'll never forget all our moments together.
