I think the Dallas Cowboys will be a good team next season. They have a very good offense, and their defense is good enough to get them to 10 wins, which is good enough for the final wild card spot in the NFC.
QUARTERBACK: Dak Prescott is a good quarterback that is capable of running an offense like this one at a high level. He has a great pre and post snap processor, and he’s accurate on all levels of the field. He won’t elevate this offense, but he will do more than just get the job done.
RUSHING: Ezekiel Elliott (and Tony Pollard) behind this o-line gives the Cowboys a very good rushing attack.
RECEIVING: This WR trio is amazing. Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Ceedee Lamb on the same team is impossible to defend for opposing teams to defend. They don’t have great depth, and the tight end room isn’t spectacular, but those three starting WRs give the Cowboys a top three receiving core.
O-LINE: The Cowboys also have a top five o-line. Tyron Smith and La’el Collins form one of the league’s best tackle duos, and Zack Martin is one of the best guards in the game if not the best.
RUN D: Losing Gerald McCoy hurts, but this run defense is still good enough. The linebackers are a big reason why.
PASS RUSH: This is a pretty good pass rush. Demarcus Lawrence and Everson Griffen are a great edge rush duo, but a lack of pass rush on the interior keeps this from being a top ten pass rush.
LINEBACKERS: Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch form a great LB duo with a lot of potential. Both are good against the run and in coverage, and they make this a top three LB group.
SECONDARY: This secondary holds this defense back a bit. It’s far from terrible, but it’s also not better than average. Chidobe Awuzie has a good chance of breaking out, but other than that, there’s nothing that gets me excited.
