This is a very well rounded team. They don’t have a ton of star talent, but they have very few weaknesses. In a tough AFC South, I think it’ll be the Colts that end up winning the division with a 10-6 record.
QUARTERBACK: I loved the Phillip Rivers signing. He wasn’t great last season, but he proved he was still accurate, and that’s all he needs to be in order to be successful here. He’s going from one of the worst o-lines in the league to one of the best.
RUSHING: The Colts have a pretty good duo with Marlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor, and both of them will have an amazing run blocking unit. I think this will be a top ten run game.
RECEIVING: This is a mediocre receiving core, but it has a lot of potential. TY Hilton is a solid WR1, and the Colts have two young receivers in Parris Campbell and Michael Pittman. Both need to prove they can be quality targets. The Colts also have a solid tight end duo with Jack Doyle and Trey Burton.
O-LINE: A huge reason why I think the Colts are a 10 win team is because of this offensive line. It’s definitely a top 2 unit. Quenton Nelson is arguably the best guard in the game, and Anthony Castonzo is a very good tackle. Braden Smith and Ryan Kelly are also above average.
RUN D: This run defense unit is good enough. The Colts don’t have any weaknesses in their front seven.
PASS RUSH: This pass rush is pretty good. Justin Houston and DeForest Buckner form a good duo, and if Kemoko Turay breaks out, the Colts could potentially have a top ten pass rush.
LINEBACKERS: The Colts have a very good LB duo with a lot of potential with Darius Leonard and Bobby Okereke. Darius Leonard is a top five linebacker. The Colts have a lot of depth too.
SECONDARY: If there is a concern on this team, it’s the secondary. Most of it is fine, but CB2 is a huge question mark. There’s a good chance it hurts this team, but there is hope Xavier Rhodes can thrive in this scheme like he did in 2017.
