Deterra Project
-Narcan difficulties around regulation and getting access
-SAFE don't support just one method of care. just want opioids out of homes (disposal)
-Future for SAFE is how to package things better
-Challenges in communities finding best way to distribute resources
-Drug takeback day was cancelled this year due to COVID
-Deterra allow people to get rid of prescription medication while at home
-in home drug overdoses are increasing
-Deterra has a really good communication team (will be sending information to me)

-Need updated messaging
-Start to do research about who to target
-Develop a spreadsheet (organization, name, location, contact person, email address, notes on what their organization does) on community organization n how to put deterra out to communities
-Tracy will send talking points on what SAFE project is
-Ways that people have gotten in community that have been successful: talk to prevention person/nonprofit on substance abuse and coalition ex) school system with school lunches, senior living facilities, Hospice care facilities, meals on wheels
-Easier to bulk ship to organization
-Target states of high rates of overdose (use your own network)
-Jeff (coo) has connection to deterra project
-start with local health agencies
-Goals: To do so many communities/so many pouches
-Try to think of a goal you want to work
-Be sure to reach out to Tracy (cell number in email sig) with any career path questions/pd/anything :)
