Chapter 1.
"You are entering Camp Green Lake"
The first four chapters set the scene for Camp Green Lake which is set as a Texas juvenile camp. Even before Stanley arrives at Camp Green Lake it is clear that Stanley's life will be hard. The threats at Camp Green Lake are obvious which they come from humans as well as animals like Yellow Spotted Lizards and for humans, Warden and the guard on the bus who has a gun are a clear symbol of harsh authority. Camp Green Lake is a place with no water,no green, and it's filled with rattle snakes, scorpions, and the venomous Yellow Spotted Lizard. Stanley Yelnats who arrived by bus to this camp for boys who have committed a crime , but there's a twist suddenly cause he's actually innocent,only his family is too poor to defend him. Stanely's family is used to curse "No good,dirty,rotten,pig,stealing,great great grandfather.
