Notes

The several different areas in which the game could be situated, acting as levels of a sort need to be discussed. I would like to think of not only setting, but bosses and potentially unique hazards or mechanics. Some Ideas I have had so far are:
1)Suburban Subroutines-A possible start to the game, a connected network with minimal security. Would be interesting to see some disproportionately strong enemies (or just the one) patrolling, a hazard for fresh starts and a risk/reward source of loot for the more prepared.
2)Papal Mainframe-Possibly a mid- to late-game environment, the hub of governed worship. Various zealots and holy protectors would serve as dissuasion for probing hackers, lest they discover a dark secret. The near-infinite resources of the church could be manifested in an indestructible enemy that appears on a timer, and can only be stalled, and possibly disabled.
3)Hacker's Domain-Boundless and Bare, the remains of a once-great hacking network, utilizing re-purposed, antiquated or decrepit government bots. The confrontation with the hacker and boss, _/Ozymandias_, will be preceded by him rearranging parts of the level in an attempt to disrupt your progress. Early-mid Game.
4)Resistance Network-The shrouded arm of self-proclaimed justice resides in these basic and murky server systems. Highly specialized and synergistic elite bots form the majority of the force, with a resurrecting arm of the healing force providing a constant dark threat to the unwary. Mid-late Game.
5)Civil Security Servers-Varied and complimentary enemies in large numbers patrol this virtual sector, as brutal as on the streets. This is a decidedly combat-focused area, a unique challenge coming from the fact that the boss of the level roams around and spawns enemies constantly, allowing for many approaches, by attrition, swift elimination, methodical control, or hit-and run tactics. Mid-game.
6)Storage systems-The Memory center of The City's brain that is patrolled by the light enforcers and Copy- tech . Destroying Memory Nodes here can provide loot or EXP, at the cost of raising the Ire of the Librarian, the boss of the level. Early Game.
