There was a boy named Eric. He was a very adventurous boy and when he had heard rumors of a mysterious mountains where nobody returned from, he knew that he had to go since he couldn't resist his curiosity on what is there. Eric had heard legends about the mysterious mountain to have buried treasure from ancient civilizations.Since was determined to claim the treasure and bring it back to his town, he decided to set off on the journey. Eric left behind a note at his house to make sure nobody was worried when he was gone. Most people who dared to explore the mysterious mountains were often scared and just gave up, but Eric had a lot of confidence and believed in himself, so he wasn't scared. This was because his adventurous mind put him on many adventures and his adventures taught him about courage, endurance, and a bunch if other things essential for survival. Now that his supplies were all loaded in his bag and his fearless mind that wasn't afraid of anything was ready, he decided to set off on his adventure. Eric's mind was as intrepid and as a lion and he was and optimist who was filled with [self-assurance], so everyone had faith in Eric to find the treasures.

As Eric walked along the paths of the mysterious mountains, he dodged lots of traps that were set up to prevent people from accessing the treasure. He had to be especially careful since he set off on this treacherous journey without having anyone keep an eye on him which was especially dangerous in situations like this when he has to go through a dark, hazardous mountain without light because of the thick forest filled with traps. Eric could get in trouble if he got lost or hurt since there was nobody supervising him. As Eric advanced further through the thick and bushy mountains, the traps became harder to avoid and he started feeling dehydrated and hungry making him very tired. But, this was a big hazard to him because his reflexes and power slowly worsened over time making the mountain trail harder to advance through. Eric actually started regretting not bringing anyone with him because there wasn't anyone who could assist him on his way, call for help if he gets hurt, and keep each other safe on the treacherous journey by looking after one another. If he brought someone along to advise or [monitor] him, the journey must have been much easier.

After Eric thought of his mistake, he just decided to just try to claim the treasure and return home since he shouldn't waste too much energy just sitting down in the same place. But, as soon as Eric started walking, he heard a series of loud crashing and tumbling noises. It did sound menacing or grim, but Eric thought it was just an explosion in the mines that were nearby. He had made a mistake on not thinking the loud noises as a bad omen since those threatening and loud noises were the sounds of rocks tumbling down the mountains in a rockslide caused by an avalanche . Because of the avalanche, Eric ran into another problem. He was now trapped in a small box made of rocks and boulders, but there was a small opening which he could luckily breathe with. Eric was losing hope even though he was confident because he was now trapped and couldn't move. He tried scrambling to the top of the pile of boulders to escape, but the boulders were too heavy. The only way he could escape was to wait for help. So, in order to try to make a signal to bring help, he tossed his torch he was holding to the highest place he could throw it. Luckily, there were some twigs on where the torch landed, so he was able to make a smoke signal for help to come. Now, Eric's fate of either being stuck in a box of boulders or being freed depended on whether people noticed or not. Eric really regret not taking the [ominous] and unpromising sounding sign of a disaster seriously and evacuating first too.

Nobody had realized the smoke signals for nearly 2 days when Eric heard the emergency rescue squad coming towards him. His sadness or glumness suddenly faded away and with all his might, he shouted for help as loud as possible for the rescue squad to come rescue him. Eric no longer felt low in his spirits thinking that he would just die of starvation and thinking that he was hopeless. He felt a sudden outburst of relief and happiness to his thought that he will be freed. The rescue squad dug through the boulders and let Eric free. He returned home after that feeling very overjoyed to be free form the box made of boulders that he was stuck in. Eric's wretched or tragic memory slowly faded away and he was now enjoying his regular life. Even though he didn't get the treasure, he learned a very valuable lesson. Eric learned that there is nothing more important than enjoying your life with no tragedies and that it is more precious than expensive treasures.
