7. Dangdut memiliki ciri-ciri berupa dentuman tabla yaitu alat musik perkusi India dan gendang.
8. Penyebutan nama dangdut merupakan tiruan dari suara permainan tabla atau yang dalam dunia dangdut disebut gendang.
