Dear town council,
I am a fellow member of our community, in fact, I am one of the blacksmiths here. I know that our community motto, "Forza dall’interno, potremmo alzare il potente martello" is important to our people and our history. It truly is a lovely representation for our people and it symbolizes the strength we have together and what we can achieve. with that in mind, I've come to you with a letter of proposition. I propose that we build a statue to represent us as well, in the midst point of our town. The person I have in mind was called Dekanawida. He is also called the Great Peacemaker. He was a great leader and was the founder of the Iroquois Confederacy. “Thinking shall replace killing, and there shall be one commonwealth,” is a quote of Dekanawida, and I believe that view is shared by our community. I shall admit that it's not known when he was born, but I have reason to believe that he died no more than 3 years ago as the Iroquois lives on and have spread this information. Now I know that constructing a statue shall be costly, so I have thought ahead in regards to this. Our town can come together and raise money for this. I have actually brought up this idea with other members of the community already and all of them I have spoken to are in favor of this.
